Reviews
Great food, drinks, service and environment overall. The place is GORGEOUS. Music is top tier, people were even dancing inside the restaurant. I brought my service dog and immediately after sitting down they offered water for her. The staff was incredible. We’ll be back soon <3
The place is really big, we got seated right away. The menu doesn’t have too many options but the food was tasty. The service subpar . The music very loud . We went there because we wanted a place to eat and dance but the dancing didn’t happen because it’s more of a miami club vibe.
The carne(Steak) from here was very fresh and cooked to the right temperature. The music was great, and the decorations were very well thought out. I would recommend this spot for birthday celebrations and brunch.
Food was overall delicious, got the Carne Asada Fries and side of Mexican Rice, wish it was a little bit warmer when arriving but flavor was great with the fondue. Great atmosphere and bottomless mimosas were okay price @ $30. Service was good, just wish waitress would have stopped by our table a little more at the beginning.
This was my second time here...I really wanted to leave a good review, but can't. The food and drinks are always delicious but the service, not so much. While the staff is nice enough, they are SO SLOW. We waited for drinks, with empty glasses most of the night. I understand going with a larger group the server gets an automatic tip of 20%...trust me, when I say, the tip would have been ALOT higher with my group if they would have brought the drinks out as we asked or even came to us. The server checked on us twice in a span of 3 hours. We spent most of the night complaining and looking for our server. Again, I want to love this place because the food is great - but the service is just SLOW!
I went there on the Thursday. It was packed. They play really good Salsa and some Bachata. The level of dancing was amazing. The crowd is a mix of all ages. This was a great experience dancing outdoors, but it was hot!
I didn’t check the menu for food but had some drinks. They were very well priced. Drafts and bottled beers were under $10 each.
If you’re looking for great music and dancing on a Thursday, I recommend going here.
There wasn’t a dress code and both men and women were pretty relaxed with that. Just wear light breathable clothing.
Thank you to the staff. I interacted with a few of them and each was incredibly friendly.
A basic dance class started at 9:30pm and I think that the place closed around 12:30-1am. They called last call at midnight and I headed out about 1/2hr later.
Music was awesome. the ambient was really great. For the girls, I recommend " La Sirena" and for the guys if you like strong drinks "Gran Jefe Margarita"( sounds like a girls drink, but it's not lol). I'm definitely going back there.
Chico Malo in Doral has truly captured the essence of Mexican cuisine, creating an experience that is both vibrant and flavorful. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were enveloped in an energetic atmosphere that set the stage for an unforgettable dining adventure.
We began our culinary journey with the shrimp ceviche, and it was love at first bite. The fresh and succulent shrimp combined harmoniously with the tangy citrus notes, creating a refreshing explosion of flavors. Each bite was accompanied by a delightful medley of herbs and spices that elevated the ceviche to new heights. It was a true testament to the art of balancing flavors.
The trio salsa accompanying the ceviche was a delightful surprise. The selection of salsas offered a range of tastes, from mild and tangy to spicy and bold. The chips served alongside were perfectly crispy and provided a satisfying crunch with every dip. It was an addictive combination that left us eagerly reaching for more.
As for the main course, we opted for the birria tacos and the rib eye, and we were blown away by both. The birria tacos were a revelation, with tender, slow-cooked meat nestled within warm tortillas. The richness of the meat was beautifully complemented by the accompanying toppings, creating a harmonious blend of flavors that left us craving for seconds. The rib eye was cooked to perfection, boasting a juicy and succulent texture that melted in our mouths. The skillful seasoning and the depth of flavors in the dish were a testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs.
And then came the dessert—a moment of sheer indulgence. We savored the creme brulee cheesecake, and it was an absolute delight. The creamy cheesecake was flawlessly executed, with a smooth and velvety texture that was simply divine. The caramelized sugar crust added a delightful crunch, creating a heavenly contrast of textures. It was a dessert that exceeded all expectations, leaving us in awe of its decadence.
The service at Chico Malo was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They guided us through our culinary journey, providing insightful recommendations and ensuring that our dining experience was flawless from start to finish.
In terms of value for money, Chico Malo delivers in spades. The portion sizes were generous, and the quality of the ingredients was evident in every dish. The prices were reasonable considering the remarkable culinary experience provided.
In conclusion, Chico Malo in Doral is a must-visit for lovers of Mexican cuisine. From the tantalizing ceviche and trio salsa to the irresistible birria tacos and perfectly cooked rib eye, every dish exemplified the richness and authenticity of Mexican flavors. And let's not forget the indulgent creme brulee cheesecake that will leave you yearning for more. Chico Malo guarantees a dining experience that is both vibrant and memorable. I can't wait to return and continue exploring the wonders of their menu!
